Okay, so the Oscars just ended a couple hours ago and we’re still making sense of all the memorable moments and heartfelt speeches. Shape of Water just won Best Picture (no error in the announcement this year, thankfully), Frances McDormand made all women nominee stand up together, and there’s the history breaking winning of Jordan Peele as the first African-American winner of Best Original Screenplay for ‘Get Out’ and Rachel Morrison as the first woman ever to be nominated in the Best Cinematographer’s category in the Academy Awards! As we happily cry tears of joy long after the award show is over, we’re also left with a lesson or two fashion-wise, because really there is so much to learn. From making a statement with accessories, colors and reading glasses, we round up some of our favorite fashion moments from the Oscars.

These are the things that 2018 Oscars taught us.

Do Accessorize!

Oscar

Statement earrings and necklaces are seen a lot this year, also hair accessories! We especially love how Haley Bennett and Andra Day doused their hair in flowers for an organic ethereal look! Check out statement-making accessories here.

Reading Glasses are Cool!

Oscar 2018

Okay, do we need any more reason to love Lupita Nyong’O? Apparently yes, because she looks damn good with her reading glasses on stage! The girl definitely has the ability to make anything look good. Find Glasses here.

Go Rock Bold Colors

Oscars

Just in time for spring, popping colors are starting to show up. And these two lady birds know how to do bright dressing right! Go here for some colors.

Heels are Painful and That’s Okay.

Oscar

Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph is definitely all of us when they ditched their high stilettos at the Oscars. Heels are painful and we’re not alone in feeling it. Shop here for some comfortable shoes instead!

See you at the next award show, perhaps?
